Every Saturday morning there is a market at Shongweni with wonderful fresh produce, baked goods, cheeses, organic meats, plants and bric-a-brac. It starts very early 6.30am and the sellers start packing up at 10.30am.
A choice of breakfasts freshly cooked for you followed by aromatic coffee. what a glorious way to start the day.
The salami looking sausage in my picture is actually a choc, orange and biscuit log we are going to try this weekend, yumm!

This morning I went to my monthly quilt meeting where we had to bring items we no longer wanted to auction.
I duly had a clear-out, what a great feeling and I promised myself not to buy anything! Famous last words. It was so EXCITING and so much fun.We had a girl from another guild who is an absolute scream as auctioneer and everyone got into the spirit of it.
The old saying ‘Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder rang true.
The money raised is to buy new books for our library. Maybe your guild should do it !

I simply love the creativity of Zulu artists. The colours and patterns are instantly recognisable and unique. I am especially passionate about Zulu hats and sell them on www.zuluhats.com. Earlier this week I had an order for various hats and came across this beauty which is quite unusual as it is more a fashion hat than traditional. I have been looking for a blue hat for someone for quite a while now and have to say “so sorry it is taken”.
